Chamber Banquet Celebrates Star Power & Public Service

THE ANNUAL BANQUET of the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce brought out a star-studded crowd of Falls Church celebrities at the Clarendon Ballroom last Saturday night.1.jpg

A total of 160 business and civic leaders attended, and awards were presented to Gary LaPorta, Edna Frady, Hope Galley, Tom Gittins and John Shreve. Chamber Board Chair Ralph Perrino and executive director Sally Cole ran the program, and Colm Dillon of Ireland’s Four Provinces led the live auction. Celebrity attendees included State Sen. Mary Margaret Whipple, State Delegates Bob Hull and Jim Scott, F.C. Mayor Robin Gardner, City Manager Wyatt Shields, Sheriff Steve Bittle, Police Chief Harry Reitze, City Treasurer Cathy Kaye, Revenue Commissioner Tom Clinton, Council members Dan Maller and Nader Baroukh, Former Mayor Dan Gardner and Former Vice Mayors Lindy Hockenberry and Steve Rogers, and School Board members Charlotte Hyland and Joan Wodiska.
