Body Found in Parking Lot of Falls Church Shopping Center

The Falls Church City Police Department is investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found Monday night in the parking lot of a shopping center near E.Fairfax St. and Hillwood Ave. in Falls Church.

After receiving reports of possible gunfire, police discovered the body of a Latino male possibly middle-aged at 11:15 p.m. last night with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head in the Tower Square Shopping Center. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A gun, a 38 “special,” was found near the body.

City officials confirmed to the News-Press they are investigating the death as a possible suicide. A final determination of death will be made by the Medical Examiner and won’t be known for several days.
