City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for August 2 – 8, 2011
Underage Possession of Alcohol and Unlawful Sale of Alcohol to Minors, 300 W. Broad St. (La Caraqueña) On Aug. 2, 12:24 a.m., an officer observed suspicious activity in the area. Upon arrival, numerous patrons fled the area. Officers detained some of the subjects and determined alcohol was served to minors in the establishment. A male, 18, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Underage Possession of Alcohol. A male, 32, of Falls Church, was arrested for Unlawful Sale of Alcohol to Minors.
Urinating In Public, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Aug. 3, 12:46 a.m., a male, 44, of Falls Church, was arrested for Urinating In Public.
Destruction of Property, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Aug. 3, 2:18 a.m., an unknown suspect smashed the rear window of an occupied vehicle. The suspect is described as an Asian male, weighing approximately 130-150 lbs. and 5’7″ and 5’8″ tall. The suspect was wearing a dark colored t-shirt and had spiky hair.
Drinking In Public, 200 block W. Broad St. On Aug. 3, 5:55 p.m., a male, 64, no fixed address, was arrested for Drinking In Public.
Larceny from Building, 100 block Dulany Pl., On Aug. 3, 6:06 p.m., the victim reported jewelry and cash were stolen from the residence sometime between May 15 and July 29.
Narcotics Violations and Driving with a Suspended License, 1400 block S. West St. On Aug. 3, 8:09 p.m., following a traffic stop, a male, 38, of Reston, was arrested for Possession of Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving with a Suspended License.
Drinking In Public, 300 block W. Broad St. On Aug. 4, 12:09 a.m., a male, 64, no fixed address, was arrested for Drinking In Public.
Graffiti, 1300 block S. Washington St. On Aug. 4, 12:44 a.m., an officer observed black spray painted lettering on the city owned retaining wall.
Graffiti, 161 Hillwood Ave. (Traditional House) On Aug. 4, 1:32 a.m., an officer observed black spray painted lettering on a parked box truck.
Graffiti, 800 W. Broad St. (Flower Building) On Aug. 4, 2:01 a.m., an officer observed silver spray painted lettering on the rear of the parking garage.
Armed Robbery, 603 W. Broad St. (SunTrust Bank) On Aug. 4, 10:06 a.m., an unknown suspect displayed a long, black-barreled revolver and demanded money from the teller. The suspect fled eastbound from the bank possibly on a bicycle. The suspect is described as a black male 6′ 2″ stocky build, wearing a black and red nylon jump suit.
Narcotics Violation, 131 E. Broad St. On Aug. 6, 1:20 a.m., an officer was conducting surveillance. The officer arrested a male, 43, of Germantown, MD; and a female, 42, of Manassas, for Possession of Marijuana.
Destruction of Property, 360 S. Washington St. On Aug. 6, 9:01 p.m., a broken glass window was found.
Trespassing and Public Drunkenness, 6795 Wilson Blvd. #21 (Bay Lo Restaurant) On Aug. 7, 9:32 p.m., an officer observed an individual on the property who had been previously banned. a male, 53, no fixed address, was arrested for Trespassing and Public Drunkenness.
Destruction of Property, 900 block Madison Ln. On Aug. 8, 5:18 p.m., a window to a residence was reported damaged with a pea size hole. The damage occurred some time between 8 p.m. on Aug. 6 and 4 p.m. on Aug. 7.
Narcotics Violation and Warrant Service, 100 block of Birch St. On Aug. 8, 9:32 p.m., following a traffic stop, an officer arrested a male, 29, of Annandale, for Possession of Cocaine. The suspect was also served an outstanding warrant from Virginia ABC for Possession with Intent to Distribute Synthetic Cannibinoids.
Panhandling, 1000 block E. Broad St. On Aug. 8, 6:02 p.m., a male, 55, of Arlington, was arrested for Panhandling.
