F.C. Volunteers Team Up for High School Service Day

Volunteers from the Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department, Volunteer Fairfax, March of Dimes and UnitedHealthcare joined forces for a Day of Service event at Falls Church High School on Wednesday, Oct. 19.

The program was designed to promote healthy eating, personal fitness and overall wellness among high school students in Virginia.

The event, which took place over the course of an entire school day, included group physical education classes, as well as training sessions focused on reading food labels, journaling about daily food consumption, measuring calorie content, and understanding portion sizes.
