F.C. EDA Hosting Smart Growth Forum

The City of Falls Church’s Economic Development Authority is hosting a public forum on “Smart Growth and New Urbanism” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10. The nationally recognized speakers are David Kitchens of the design and architecture firm, Cooper Carry, and Peter Katz, consultant and author of “The New Urbanism: Toward an Architecture of Community.” They will explain the concepts behind the popular contemporary planning movements and provide examples of successful Smart Growth projects in the region and around the nation.
