Victory Comics in Falls Church will participate in Free Comic Book Day from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 5 as part of the national comic industry event held on the first Saturday in May. All the major and many of the smaller comic companies create special issues just for this day, including some directed at kids as well as older readers.

This year Victory Comics will also feature appearances by the 501st Legion, an international organization of Star Wars re-enactors known for their true-to-the-movies costumes along with area comic artists who will be drawing at the store throughout the day. This is the third year Victory Comics has participated in this event and given away comics at no charge to fans who are encouraged to bring cameras and take photos of the Storm Troopers. Victory Comics is located at 586 South Washington Street in Falls Church.
