McLean Colonial Farm to Host Autumn Market Fair

The Claude Moore Colonial Farm will host its Autumn Market Fair this month.

At the fair, set for Oct. 20 and 21, visitors can take part in a number of activities set up by the colonial museum and working farm. They can dance and sing to period music; try crafts like spinning and dyeing; turn a piece of wood on carpenter’s lathe or watch the blacksmith in action; test their watercolor and writing skills with the stationer; and play games, among other activities.

The Claude Moore Colonial Farm is located at 6310 Georgetown Pike, McLean. The fair will be open from 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for children and senior citizens, and free for children younger than 3 years old. For more information, call 703-903-9330.
