Falls Church High School recently received the GOLDEN Wellness Award (Giving Others Lifelong Desire for Exercise and Nutrition).

This award recognizes school-wide activities, programs, and everyday events that support a healthy lifestyle. The “gold” level is the highest level a school can obtain, and means that employees, students, and families are engaged in activities that promote a healthy lifestyle.

The Wellness Score Card is designed to recognize schools that are focused on wellness in their school and in their community. It also offers guidelines for schools who are working to improve community wellness. The purpose of this self-assessment is to provide schools the opportunity to self-evaluate how they are implementing the guidelines and recommendations of the Wellness Policy.
