Sleepy Hollow Collecting Food for Salvation Army

The Sleepy Hollow Student Council is collecting canned food items for the Salvation Army in order to help families who may need some assistance at this time of the year to feed their families.

Sleepy Hollow has consistently collected more than 1,000 canned food items in its drive and expects to do the same this year.

The following items will be collected: soups, tuna, cereal, packaged goods, vegetables, canned milk, tomato sauce, beans, peanut butter, and jelly (in plastic containers). Anything that a family can use to make a meal with will be helpful, but items in glass containers should be avoided.

Food items can be placed in boxes located in the hallway outside of the cafeteria.  The canned food drive will continue through Dec. 13.
