Fairfax Sups OK 20-Acre ‘Arbor Row’ Plan in Tysons

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in a unanimous vote approved Cityline Partners’ “Arbor Row” redevelopment plans for an approximately 20 acre development along Westpark Drive in Tysons Tuesday.

The “Arbor Row” redevelopment plans will replace aging, suburban office buildings and surface parking lots with a mix of land uses with 24/7 opportunities to live, work and play in Tysons. The redevelopment totals 2.6 million square feet of mixed use development within a third to a half-mile from the Tysons Central 123 Metrorail Station, including 1.1 million square feet of office space, three residential buildings with as many as 1,180 units, a hotel and approximately 60,000 square feet of ground floor and local-serving retail.

With the redevelopment, Cityline Partners will dedicate an eight-acre parcel of land to the county, in which it will construct two new synthetic turf athletic fields with lights and parking, a picnic shelter and overlook area, a stream valley trail within the urban linear park area and $500,000 of stream restoration improvements.
