Child Development Center Relocation Prospect Found

The News-Press has learned that the Easter Seals Child Development Center, currently located on Cherry Street in Falls Church, has identified a possible new location near the Larry Graves Fields in Falls Church to move their program. The Cherry Street location, owned by the City, will be used by the Falls Church City Public Schools for a pre-school program, requiring the Easter Seals program to relocate.

City resident David Chavern of the Falls Church Education Foundation in an email this week called the Easter Seals program “a very high quality program that enables children with disabilities and special needs, medically fragile children, and the children of wounded warriors to realize their full potential.” The Easter Seals is organizing a committee to help raise the funds needed for the relocation project and is seeking representation from City residents.
