F.C. Soccer Player Closes 3rd College Season with Honors

Falls Church’s Robert Gavora, a Washington College senior back, recently concluded his third season with the Washington College men’s soccer team. He started in all 13 matches he played in for the Shoremen in 2012. In 63 career matches, 51 starts, he had one goal and one assist for three points.

Gavora was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the second straight year. To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior, or senior; a starter or key reserve on his or her team; and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average. A key reserve is defined as a reserve who appeared in at least 50 percent of his or her team’s contests.
