Local Lions Sell Citrus, Syrup & More This Weekend

Two Northern Virginia Lions Clubs will be hosting sales to raise charity funds this weekend.

The Falls Church Lions Club will continue its winter citrus fruit sale at the City of Falls Church Property Yard.

Honeybells and pink seedless grapefruit will be on sale Friday and Saturday. The cost for the grapefruit is $38 for a 4/5 bushel case, $20 for a 2/5 bushel half-case, and $12 for a 1/5 bushel bag. The cost for the honeybells is $26 for a 2/5 bushel case and $14 for a 1/5 bushel bag.

Sale hours are Friday from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the fruit is sold out.

The Property Yard is located at 7100 Gordon Road, Falls Church.

The Arlington Northwest Lions Club will sell fresh Florida citrus, pecans, and pure Vermont maple syrup this weekend.

The sale will begin on Thursday, and will continue through Saturday, or until they have sold out of merchandise. Sale hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The sale will take place in the lower parking lot at the Overlee Pool, 6030 Lee Highway, Arlington.
