City of Falls Church to Host Bike to Work Day Pit Stop

The City of Falls Church is gearing up for Bike to Work Day 2013 this Friday, May 17. This year’s event is expected to draw a record-breaking 14,000 participants at 72 pit stops throughout the region. The City will provide an official Pit Stop from 6:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. at Tricentennial Park on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail at Grove Avenue.

Riders can enjoy free food, beverages, giveaways, and raffles along with demonstrations and more, courtesy of sponsors Bikenetic, Nourish Market, Vantage Fitness, Robeks, and Little River Yoga.

Grove Avenue from N. West Street to Jennifer Lane will be closed from 6 – 10 a.m. No driveways will be blocked.

Registration is open via the official Bike to Work Day website, which can be accessed by visiting fallschurchva.gov/BTWD. The first 12,000 bicyclists who register and attend will receive a free Bike to Work Day T-shirt and become eligible to win prizes.
