City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for July 15 – 21, 2013 

NOTE: This report is not a definitive list of all criminal activity and is subject to change upon investigation. 

Possession of a Fictitious ID Card, 400 block Hillwood Ave. On July 15, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 30, of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Fictitious ID Card.

Driving Under the Influence and Narcotics Violations, 100 block W. Broad St. On July 15, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a female, 27, of Reston, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Larceny from Building and Vandalism to Vehicle, 1000 E. Broad St. (24 Hour Fitness) On July 15, an unknown suspect(s) broke a side window to the victim’s vehicle and stole a computer and wallet.

Larceny from Building, 223 Little Falls St. (City of Falls Church Community Center) On July 16, an unknown suspect(s) stole an unsecure bicycle from the premises.

Indecent Exposure, 804 S. Washington St. (7-Eleven) On July 17, police received a report that a man had exposed himself in the parking lot. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40 years old, 5’8” tall, a medium build, and long brown hair in a ponytail with a goatee.

Identity Theft, and Forging Public Records, 300 Park Ave. (Falls Church General District Court) On July 17, a male, 37, of Alexandria, was arrested for assuming the identity of another when appearing in court.

Assault & Battery and Public Drunkenness, 300 W. Broad St. (Stratford Motor Lodge) On July 17, a male, 26, no fixed address, was arrested for Public Drunkenness and Assault & Battery.

Liquor Law Violation, 306 Hillwood Ave. (Lesly’s Restaurant) On July 18, an officer observed the restaurant serving alcoholic beverage during unlawful hours. The manager, a male, 40, of Hyattsville, MD, was arrested and released on summons for Unlawful Sale of Alcoholic Beverages.

Larceny from Building, 300 block Grove Ave. On July 18, police received a report of two unsecured bicycles stolen from a residence which were stolen on July 17.

Shoplifting, and Assault & Battery, 1230 W. Broad St. On July 18, a male, 57, of Washington, DC, was arrested for Shoplifting and two counts of Assault & Battery.

Destruction of Property, 100 block W. Cameron Rd. On July 20, police received a report that an unknown suspect(s) damaged a decorative fence.

Destruction of Property, 1200 block Ellison St. On July 20, police received a report that unknown suspect(s) entered a property and damaged household items. There is no report of items taken.

Larceny from Vehicle, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On July 20, an unknown suspect stole a wallet from an unlocked vehicle.

Destruction of Property, 700 block Poplar Dr. On July 21, police received a report a utility line was cut from a residence.

Public Drunkenness, 130 N. Washington St. (Clare & Don’s Beach Shack) On July 20, a male, 27, of Erie, PA, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Public Drunkenness and Domestic Assault, 6763 Wilson Blvd. #R3 (V3 Club) On July 21, a female, 23, of Falls Church, was arrested for Assaulting a Family Member and Public Drunkenness.

Vandalism to Vehicle, 400 block W. Rosemary Ln. On July 21, police received a report that an unknown suspect(s) scratched the victim’s vehicle sometime overnight.
