The George Mason High School boys and girls track teams traveled to Front Royal last Wednesday to compete in a four-way meet against Warren County, Manassas Park, and Skyline high schools. Both Mustang teams came in first on the cold and windy day by repeatedly showing the depth of their teams and accumulating points in nearly every event.

The girls were first with 81 points; Manassas Park was second with 74 points, Warren County had 61, and Skyline earned 21. For the boys, Mason was first with 72.5 points to Warren County’s 64.5, with Manassas Park getting 60 points and Skyline getting 45.

Many parents made the journey out on I-66 to cheer on the athletes, but far more are expected this Wednesday for the only home meet of the season against Clarke County High School. Senior Night recognition for 21 graduating Mustangs will follow.
