Jody’s Jam of the Week: NFL Opening Day Weekend

Oh man, this is my favorite time of the year. From now until February 4, I can’t get enough of one thing: Football. You know how when you were little you’d get so excited the night before Christmas that you couldn’t sleep? That’s me every Saturday during football season. And it all starts tonight when the Superbowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Miami Dolphins. Take two days off to prepare for Sunday, which brings 13 more NFL games for your viewing pleasure. But wait, there’s more! As if it couldn’t get any better, there are two Monday Night Football games, including, the highlight of this football-weekend extravaganza, the ‘Skins game at 7 p.m. (check it out at the State Theatre on their big theater screen) Grab the cheese doodles, order the pizza, and keep the beverages close. It’s gonna be a fun five months.
