Jody’s Jam of the Week

It’s t-minus seven days until Valentine’s Day, are you ready? The chance of being ready depends heavily on which of the two main groups of people you fall into. The ready-for-nothing group consists of your singles who are still trying to reel in that last minute February 14th date. They don’t really have to prepare for much other than the dinner spot and flower choice. If no date is to be had, there’s always the scour-the-bar-till-last-call-looking-for-lonely-hearts plan. But either way, preparation is minimal and the chances for success are low. (Face it, you never pick the right flowers.) Then there’s the attached people, who are certainly not ready. Not only do you have to pick out the flowers and the restaurant and the card, but, if your V-Day count with your significant other is above one, you best be remembering what you got them in previous years. ‘Cause they know. Oh, do they know, down to price on the Hallmark card, exactly what you’ve given them each and every year, and if you slip up and “degrade” your gift, card, flower or restaurant choice, you won’t soon forget it. So choose, but choose wisely.
