“No End in Sight,” a film by Charles Ferguson, showing at Shirlington 7 theater.
To be honest, I have not yet seen this film, but reviews and especially the testimonial of a friend have convinced me that something should be done to try to call more attention to this film, now showing on only one screen in the D.C. area. This is not, I am told, a fun film to see, but it is very clinically precise and compelling in documenting the incredible missteps the Bush administration took leading into the launch of the unilateral invasion and occupation of Iraq over four years ago. It uses measured and reasonable accounts of a battery of intelligence and analytical experts who, without partisan loyalties going in, could only sit and cringe as the Bush administration ignored tons of accumulated knowledge in launching arguably the biggest fiasco in the history of the U.S.
