‘Taste of Falls Church’ and Fall Festival, outside the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls St., Saturday, Sept. 15, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

We often forget that many people who move to Falls Church can be so career focused when they first get here that they overlook a lot of great stuff near where they live. That was true for me. I never ate in Falls Church at first, and it was a breakthrough the first time I tried Anthony’s. Any readers who are in this boat now, who feel they don’t know enough about what Falls Church’s own outstanding dining offerings are, should take a couple hours to visit the festive atmosphere in a cooler fall-like day this Saturday to sample the restaurants presenting at third annual “Taste of Falls Church.” If you’re not already familiar with what’s here, you’ll definitely be pleasantly surprised.
