Thousands of Falls Church area residents converged on Park Avenue in the City of Falls Church Monday to honor American veterans who sacrificed their lives for the good of the nation. The festivities kicked off with the Don Beyer 3-kilometer run, and featured dozens of food, art and informational booths, live music and, to top it all off, the annual parade, with Kind and Queen Kassim Rahawi and Katy Potrykus (bottom left photo). The ceremonies highlighted several Falls Church notables, including Iraq War hero, Joey Cohe (top left photo, left) and parade Grand Marshal Jessie Thackrey.
