Jody’s Jam of the Week: August 13 – 19, 2009

Most find that limiting their beer drinking to the weekend avoids the conflict the inevitable next-day hangover has with their work schedule. Unfortunately, for area beer connoisseurs, the upcoming week might prove disruptive to their professional lives.

The inaugural DC Beer Week commences this Sunday, providing daily reasons to take next week’s A.M. hours off. All of the events are too numerous to list, but some of the beer-licious items include a Unity Jam at the Rock & Roll Hotel, a beer dinner at Granville Moore’s, beer and cheese tastings, an Oyster and Ale Festival at The Reef, an Abita Beer Crawfish Boil, a Coney Island Freak Show, Meet the Brewer at the District Chophouse, a Brew at the Zoo, Nat’s ticket specials and so much more of the sudsy goodness. The full schedule is a must see, so be sure to check it out online. DC Beer Week starts this Sunday and runs through Friday, August 21.

What:  Inaugural DC Beer Week

When: Sunday, August 16 – Friday, August 21

Where: Restaurants & Bars all over Washington, D.C.
