Desktop Marketing Solutions has launched WiseGuys CRM Messaging, a direct marketing solution that helps small to mid-sized businesses send marketing communications automatically to customers when they are likely to buy, with offers targeted specifically to them.

Sweetwater Tavern recently claimed a gold and a bronze medal at the 2009 Great American Beer Festival Competition, the largest national beer competition recognizing the most outstanding beers produced in the United States today. Benton Communications, Inc. (BCI), publisher of the Falls Church News-Press, has launched a basic information web site at www.bcomminc.com. The site provides basic facts and background information about the Virginia corporation, founded in 1987. “This is hardly a bells and whistles site,” said BCI president Nicholas F. Benton, “But just gives us a chance to tell the basics of our story.” BCI also operates the much more active site for the Falls Church News-Press at www.fcnp.com.

Open Kitchen is hosting an “Open Invitation” to all local businesses to come meet the Open Kitchen team, unwind from the work week, and enjoy complimentary finger foods on Friday, October 9 from 5 – 7 p.m. Open Kitchen is located at 7115 Leesburg Pike, #107 in Falls Church. Bistro hours are Mondays through Fridays 6 – 10:30 a.m. for breakfast and 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. for lunch and then Thursdays through Saturdays from 5 – 10 p.m. for dinner.  Call 703-942-8148 for more information.

 

The Falls Church Chamber of Commerce’s October 8 Luncheon will feature a presentation by Brian Williams, President of Falls Church-based Viget Labs, on social networking tools for small businesses.  The luncheon will take place from 11:30-1:15, Tuesday, October 20 at the Italian Café.  Tickets are $27 for Chamber members, $32 for nonmembers. Always There Pet Care is hosting its 3rd Annual Haunted House on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 from 8:00pm to 11:00pm.
