Fairfax H1N1 Clinics Now Open to All School Aged Children

Beginning Tuesday, F.C. City & Fairfax Co. Residents May Walk In for Vaccine

The Fairfax County Health Department, serving Fairfax Co. & Falls Church City,  has expanded its H1N1 vaccine target group to include all school-age children.

Beginning Tuesday (Nov. 10),  H1N1 vaccine clinics will be held at each of the health department’s five locations beginning at 8 a.m. The clinics will be held again on Thursday, November 12. The clinic closest to Falls Church City is located at  6245 Leesburg Pike, Suite 500, Falls Church, although City residents may go to any Fairfax County Health Department clinic location.

The vaccine is free of charge and available on a walk-in basis to the first 400 people in the target group listed below (except for the Springfield location which will serve the first 350 people):

• Children 6 months through 18 years of age

•· Pregnant women

• Parents of children younger than 6 months of age

In addition to the clinics listed above, a 5 p.m. H1N1 vaccine clinic will be open on Thursday, Nov. 12 at only the Joseph Willard clinic located at 3750 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax, VA  22030. The vaccine is free of charge and available on a walk-in to the first 250 people in the target group listed above.
