City of F.C. Crime Report: November 3-9, 2009

Residential Burglary, 300 blk. S Oak., November 6, between 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM, cash, a Sony laptop, a backpack and a watch were taken from a residence. The items were valued at $3,380.  Entry was most likely gained through an unlocked door.

Brandishing a Firearm, 500 blk Roosevelt Blvd., November 7, 10:24 PM, responding to reports of a man with a gun, officers arrested a male juvenile carrying a black plastic replica rifle.

Drunk in Public, 6700 blk Wilson Blvd (Eden Center), November 8, 01:50 AM, a male, 51, of no fixed address, was arrested for being drunk in public.

Drunk in Public, 6600 blk Wilson Blvd (Eden Center), November 8, 8:30 PM, a male, 57, of no fixed address, was arrested for being drunk in public.

Stolen Vehicle, 200 blk Garden Court, between November 8, 9:00 PM and November 9, 5:31 AM an unlocked vehicle was taken from a residential driveway. The owner notified On-Star and they were able to trace the vehicle to NE, Washington, DC and the car was returned to owner. One juvenile male was arrested.

Stolen Vehicle, 600 blk Langston Lane, between November 8, 9:00 PM and November 9, 7:32 AM an unlocked vehicle was stolen from the street in front of a residence.

Tampering with Auto and Larceny – Theft from Motor Vehicle,

Beginning late November 8 and ending early November 9, a number of unlocked vehicles were tampered with and several had items of value such as a GPS, iPods, cameras and cash taken from them. Some were parked in driveways and others on the street. The areas involved were: 300 blk Chestnut Street, 200 blk James Thurber Court, 300 blk Riley Street, 600 blk Fulton Avenue, 200 and 300 blks North Virginia Ave, 300 blk North Lee Street and 1000 blk Ellison Square.

Panhandling, 1000 blk E Broad St., November 9, 1:00 PM, a female, 47, of Falls Church was arrested for panhandling.
