The Democratic Committees of both Arlington and Fairfax counties elected new chairs this week, with Mike Lieberman being selected as the youngest chair ever for the Arlington committee, and Rex Simmons chosen as the chair in Fairfax. At the Fairfax Committee’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, a food and coat drive in honor of Rep. Jim Moran, is recovering from total knee replacement surgery on both of his knees, collected 441 pounds of food, 47 coats and an assortment of hats, gloves and scarves. The food was donated to the Food for Others and the coats and accessories were donated to the Katherine Hanley Family Shelter.
