The pedestrian who was struck and killed yesterday morning in a hit and run on Leesburg Pike at I-495 has been identified as 49 year-old Efrain Flores-Vasquez of no fixed address.

Fairfax County Police were called to a fatal pedestrian crash around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and discovered a 49-year-old adult male deceased in the roadway with vehicle debris.

Crash Reconstruction detectives responded to the scene and detectives now have reason to believe that the striking vehicle is a four-door Honda Accord EX, model years 1999 to 2002, and either silver or beige in color. The vehicle should be missing its driver-side front bumper and all or part of the air dam, which runs the width of the front of the vehicle.
