Local Photographer to Teach Photoshop Classes

Local photographer Art Pierson will be giving artists the knowledge they need to operate the popular image editing program in his Introduction to Photoshop seminar this winter.

Local photographer Art Pierson will be giving artists the knowledge they need to operate the popular image editing program in his Introduction to Photoshop seminar this winter.

The award-winning commercial photographer from Pierson Photography of Falls Church City, who has been practicing for 30 years and specializes in corporate, architectural and studio work.

He will teach the seminar in two 2-1/2-hour sessions, including time for questions and answer on individual issues. This seminar covers the basics of image processing software.

Students will learn color systems and profiles, sizing, nondestructive edits, tools and more.

Those wishing to take part can choose Thursday, Jan. 20, at 7 p.m. or Saturday, Jan. 22, at 1 p.m. for Part I, and Thursday, Feb. 3, at 7 p.m., or Saturday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m. for Part II.

The cost is $40 for Falls Church Arts members and students or $60 for nonmembers. Proceeds will go to support Falls Church Arts.
