Police Investigating Six Skyline Area Robberies

Police are investigating several street robberies that have occurred within the past month, all in the Skyline area.

On December 13, 2010, around 5 p.m. a man was walking on a sidewalk in the area of 5505 Seminary Road. He was approached by two men, one of whom displayed a knife and he took personal property from the victim. There were no injuries.

The first suspect was described as white or Hispanic, 19-25 and around 5 foot 8 inches tall. There was no description of the second suspect.

On December 28, 2010, around 8:20 p.m., three men were walking on a path in the area of 5505 Seminary Road. They were approached by two men, both of whom displayed guns and took cash and personal property from the victims. There were no injuries.

The first suspect was described as black, 19-20 around 5 foot 10 inches tall and 145 pounds. The second suspect was described as black.

On January 5, 2011, around 2:15 p.m., a man was in an underground parking garage at 5275 Leesburg Pike. He was approached by two men, one of whom implied a weapon and took cash and personal property from the victim. There were no injuries.

The first suspect was described as black, 20-25, around 5 foot 9 inches tall and thin. The second suspect was described as black, 20-25, around 5 foot 11 inches tall and thin.

On January 11, 2011, around 4:30 p.m., a man was in an underground parking garage at 5275 Leesburg Pike. He was approached by two men, one of whom displayed a gun and took cash from the victim. There were no injuries.

The first suspect was described as black, 20s, around 5 foot 10 inches tall and thin. The second suspect was described as black, 20s, around 5 foot 10 inches tall and thin.

On January 13, 2011 around 2 a.m., a man was at the Bank of America ATM, located at 5707 Seminary Road. He was approached by a man who displayed a gun and took cash from the victim. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as light skinned, 20s, around 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 9 inches tall and thin.

On January 23, 2011, around 1:45 p.m., a man was in a stairwell of a building located at 5601 Seminary Road. He was approached by two men, one of whom displayed a handgun and took cash and personal property from the victim. There were no injuries.

The first suspect was described as black, 18 to 20, around 5 foot 8 inches tall and 140 to 150 pounds. The second suspect was described as black, 20s, around 6 foot tall and 180 pounds.

Police are investigating the possibility that these robberies have been committed by the same suspects.
