Arlington Sheriff’s Office to Host Incarcerated Mom’s Program

On Monday, May 16, 2011 the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office will host a bi-annual Incarcerated Mother’s Holiday Program from 6 – 8 p.m. This event is part of the Incarcerated Mothers Program, which allows female inmates to have a contact visit with their children. The program is designed to strengthen and encourage mothers to have positive relationships with their minor children to help lessen the impact and effects of separation. At the event mom and child may exchange cards, create gifts, eat dinner and bond together.
