For a small city, diners have their pick of a surprising number of restaurants for sushi – three, to be exact. But when our readers want to satisfy their hunger for Japanese-inspired fish delicacies, they turn to Koi Koi.

Koi Koi, located in The Spectrum, is a relative newcomer to the restaurant scene in Falls Church, having opened only four years ago, but again voters have named this establishment their favorite for sushi.

Koi Koi’s menu features items from the simple salmon sashimi to more elaborate rolls like the Hawaiian Volcano Roll, with a good variety of tempura dishes, salads, appetizers and teriyaki dishes to round out the Japanese dining experience.

Isabel Park, a waitress at Koi Koi, says the restaurant’s vast assortment of specialty rolls turn one-time customers into return diners, and she is also proud of the quality of the sushi and the freshness of the fish the restaurant is able to serve.
