‘The Little City’ Selected as National Trademark Expo Exhibitor

The City of Falls Church and its slogan – The Little City – has been selected as an exhibitor at the 2011 National Trademark Expo with assistance from trademark attorney Erik Pelton. The Expo will take place at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office headquarters in Alexandria on October 14 and 15.

The free family-friendly event designed to educate the public about the value of trademarks in the global marketplace. The Expo will feature a NASCAR car as well as appearances by costumed characters including Cat in the Hat, Pillsbury’s Doughboy, Curious George and GEICO’s Gecko.

The Expo’s opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. on October 14 will feature the U.S. Air Force’s rock band, Max Impact, and a guest appearance by Chubby Checker. More information is available at www.uspto.gov/tmexpo.
