City of F.C. Leaf Collection Begins Oct. 17

The City of Falls Church will collect leaves raked to the curb in residential areas beginning Monday, Oct. 17. Residents who wish to have their loose leaves collected by the City are advised to rake their leaves to the curb, and avoid gutters and sidewalks wherever possible. Crews will continue to pass throughout the City through mid-December.

Residents must keep all other collection material at least five feet away from leaf piles, and may not mix brush or other items with leaves. These items may injure City crews, damage equipment, damage private property, and cause delays. The leaves that are collected will be processed into high-quality leaf mulch available at the Recycling Center in March next year.
