Junior League of NoVa Diaper Drive Kicks Off Oct. 16

For the second year, the Junior League of Northern Virginia, a women’s volunteer organization, is organizing a community-wide diaper drive as a participant in the Huggies Every Little Bottom campaign. The diaper drive will run from Oct. 16 – 29. Last year, the JLNV collected more than 18,000 diapers, bringing the total collected to date to more than 21,000.

The JLNV diaper drives will benefit Borromeo Housing, which operates Elizabeth House of Arlington, a residential program for homeless adolescent mothers and their children; the Arlington-Alexandria Coalition for the Homeless, a homeless shelter in Arlington; Embry Rucker Community Shelter, a homeless shelter in Reston; the Katherine K. Hanley Family Shelter, a homeless shelter in Fairfax; the Good Shepherd Alliance, a homeless shelter in Leesburg; and the Loudoun Abused Women’s shelter in Leesburg. For more information or to participate as a diaper drive drop-off location, contact diapers@jlnv.org.
