F.C. Student Engages in Engineering Capstone Project

Timothy Brooks, a Falls Church native and senior engineering student at James Madison University, is developing a high efficiency composting system for JMU as his capstone project for the program. Brooks will be part of JMU’s first graduating class of engineering students.

As part of their graduation requirements, engineering students are required to complete a capstone project, usually executed over a two-year period. Students work as a team to complete these self-chosen projects. Brooks’ engineering capstone team is working to help JMU implement a stronger composting program.
