Forum Scheduled Saturday on Safe Drinking Water

Local residents are invited to a forum on safe drinking water that will be held Saturday, Dec. 17, from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Arlington Public Library’s Westover Branch, 1644 N. McKinley St., Arlington.

The program is part of a study on the safety of the Washington area’s water supply that is being conducted this year by the League of Women Voters of the National Capital Area.

The forum will feature Kevin Tingley, of the Environmental Protection Agency, and David Donahue, of the Arlington County Department of Environmental Services, providing a national and a local perspective on the issue.

The gathering, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Arlington, is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
