F.C. Donor to Historic White House Chairs Recalled

In the course of events this week surrounding the 50th anniversary of the late First Lady Jaqueline Kennedy’s groundbreaking nationally-televised tour of the White House, footage of that 1962 tour was played on the national TV news showing Ms. Kennedy identifying two pre-Civil War chairs among the historic White House appointments that she said clearly were donated by “Mrs. Edythe McGinnis of Falls Church.”

Records show that an Edythe McGinnis (1901-1976) lived in the 22044 zip code of greater Falls Church, married to Norman Francis McGinnis (1900-1964) with two children.
