Mason Robotics Team Gears Up for Competitions

The George Mason High School FIRST Robotics team held a Shipping Night Party last week before packing up their robot, Vae Victis, to send it to competition. Students demonstrated the robot’s talents – collecting basketballs and then lining up and shooting them at three hoops. It also can balance on an unstable platform, and while maneuvering over a roadblock, come in with a smooth landing.

The team is looking forward to two competitions in March: the Virginia Regional in Richmond March 15 – 17 and the D.C. Regional at the D.C. Convention Center March 29 – 31.
