Nighttime Train Testing Between East and West Falls Church Stations Begins Tonight

The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project will begin testing trains on the existing Metro rails between the East and West Falls Church stations, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., on Monday through Thursday nights, starting tonight and continuing for approximately two weeks.

This activity will involve running trains at various speeds and safe breaking distances in order to test changes that were made to the existing tracks in order to facilitate the tie-in with the future Silver Line. The testing must take place during non-revenue hours.
