Salon Manager Helen Nguyen says the gel manicure – the most popular service her spa offers – lasts for weeks. It dries completely in seconds, resists chipping, and comes in nearly 50 designer shades by vaunted lacquer-maker OPI. And at $25, Nguyen says it’s the cheapest of such manicures in the area. But customers don’t sacrifice know-how for the discount: Nguyen says all on her staff have more than six years of nail-care experience, and are licensed manicurists, pedicurists, and estheticians.
