Specials Offered at Area Eateries Start For a Week Monday

The first ever Falls Church Restaurant Week kicks off Monday and an impressive number of 31 local establishments are taking part.

Diners from this area, but also from all over the region, will have the opportunity to sample the best items on the menus of most of these restaurants, ranging from four restaurants in Eden Center to the newest additions to and around Falls Church’s West Broad Street “Restaurant Row.”

The Falls Church News-Press is presenting this extraordinary event, which is being publicized not only in its pages but throughout the D.C. region, as well. It is the creation of News-Press Managing Editor Jody Fellows, who said he’s planned to do the event for a number of years, but wound up being limited by the daunting amount of organizational work involved.

It should, however, be easier from now on to perpetuate as an annual celebration of the Little City’s growing reputation in the region as a first-rate destination for fine dining.

A comprehensive listing of all the participating restaurants together with their special offers appears in this week’s issue as a double-truck centerfold in alphabetic order, and also organized by the type of food offered, ranging from American to barbecue, breakfast, French, Greek, Indian, Irish, Italian, Latin American, Persian, pizza, seafood, sushi, Thai and Vietnamese. The list of restaurants can also be found at www.fcrestaurantweek.com.

Hardly a taste or a palate sensibility cannot be found in the terrific list of area restaurants participating in the first of many annual Falls Church Restaurant Weeks.
