F.C. Couple Celebrates 70th Anniversary

Fred and Eleanor Moran celebrated 70 years of marriage with their family at The Italian Cafe last Saturday. They have lived in the City of Falls Church for 60 years. Fred grew up in Georgetown and retired from Bell Atlantic as a marketing manager. Eleanor grew up in Boydton and retired from the Army Corps of Engineers as a real estate specialist. They met in Georgetown and were married at the Rectory of Holy Trinity in Georgetown on March 27, 1943. They are pictured above with their daughter, Sharon Suzanne Moran (right) and Fred’s sister, Barbara Walters. Fred and Eleanor both have a large family of nieces, nephews, greats and great-greats in Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia. (Photo: Courtesy Sharon S. Moran)
