Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe was certified this week by the Democratic Party of Virginia as the official Democratic nominee for Governor.

He issued the following statement in response: “I am grateful for the support of Virginians from all parties and from every corner of Virginia. This is thanks to the roughly five hundred volunteers who carried petitions to all corners of the Commonwealth to help me get on the ballot. With their help, I will continue to work tirelessly to spread our message of finding mainstream ideas to make Virginia the best for business. Together, we can continue to find bipartisan solutions to build on the progress of the transportation compromise that will help Virginia overcome the extreme gridlock that has plagued our roads and our government for far too long.”
