Critter Corner: Missing Dog Ginger

307critter

Ginger went missing from a Fenwick Park backyard on Sunday and was see crossing Route 50, heading toward Providence RECenter soon afterward. Since then there have been several sightings in parks and neighborhoods around Holmes Run, in Annandale, and her family thinks she’s traveling via that strip of woods along the stream. She is a spayed female beagle mix, approximately 20 pounds and 5 years old. She is mostly tan and black with a white chest and belly and a long, white-tipped tail. She has a brown leather collar with several metal tags – her rabies tag; her Fairfax County dog license tag; a tag from HART, the organization from which she was adopted; and a name tag with her family’s phone numbers. She is a little timid, though very friendly; she can be picked up, but may be easily spooked if approached quickly or by another dog. A reward is being offered for anyone who can confine her or get her on a leash so we can pick her up, or for information directly leading to her recovery. Anyone with information is asked to call Doug Brashear at 703-725-8031.
