City of F.C. Street Paving Continues Through Next Week

The City of Falls Church Department of Public Works will be replacing curbs and gutters as well as paving city streets through April 26. The work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

During this time, there will be no parking allowed on posted streets during working hours. Streets affected will be posted for no parking 48 hours in advance of the work.

All streets will remain open to traffic, and residents and businesses will have access to driveways and entrances.

The limits of work are as follows: N. Oak Street (from Park Avenue to City limits), 100 and 200 blocks of S. Lee Street, 400 block of Sherrow Avenue, and 500 block of W. Westmoreland Street.

Due to a recently identified sewer repair needed in the 400 block of N. Oak Street, the section between the Washington & Old Dominion Trail and Lincoln Avenue will not be paved until the sewer repair is completed, with an end date anticipated by the end of June.
