SpringGreen Event Offers Recycling & Shredding Friday

Market Common Clarendon will present its SpringGreen event this Friday, April 19, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

All are welcome to bring old documents, electronics, and bicycles for recycling and re-use to Market Common Clarendon, 2700 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington. The event is free and presented in recognition of Earth Month and awareness of green options for safe disposal of items that can be put to good use rather than put into landfill.

A Better Way Computer Recycling will collect electronics. TrueShred will collect documents for shredding on site. Bikes for the World will collect used bicycles and bicycle accessories, hand tools, and portable sewing machines in repairable or working condition; the charity organization will repair and ship these items to underprivileged areas of the world, and a $10 donation toward cost of repairs is appreciated.

For more information, call 703-785-5634 or visit marketcommonclarendon.net.
