Suspect Arrested in Thursday F.C. Assault & Abduction

UPDATE: Police issued a correction today, May 1, and have revised Bousbain’s charge to Abduction only.

A 32-year old Fairfax County man has been arrested in an assault and abduction incident that occurred Thursday night in the City of Falls Church.

Police say on the evening of April 18, Hakim Bousbain approached a woman outside of a building in the 800 block of W. Broad St  in Falls Church and asked her for a hug. The woman, who police say had “limited familiarity” with Bousbain, initially complied. When Bousbain asked for another hug, the woman declined. At that point, police say, Bousbain grabbed the victim from behind and dragged her toward an isolated area. The victim was able to break free and alerted police, who arrived and then arrested Bousbain on the scene.

The victim sustained no injuries.

Bousbain has been charged with assault and abduction and is being held without bond in Arlington County.
