Arlington Historical Society to Open New Civil War Exhibit

This Saturday, the Arlington Historical Society will open a new exhibit at its Hume School Museum, “A Union soldier in Arlington, 1864-65,” featuring photos of a young Massachusetts man who served at Ft. Reynolds, a new model of a Civil War Arlington fort, artillery shells and cannon balls found in the county, and more.

The photos were loaned to AHS by an Arlington resident who is a descendant of the soldier. These materials are in addition to the museum’s regular displays of artifacts from Arlington’s history.

The museum, located at 1805 S. Arlington Ridge Road, will be open this Saturday and Sunday from 1 – 4 p.m. For more information, visit arlingtonhistoricalsociety.org.
