The Falls Church Lions Club and the Fairfax Partnership for Youth held the ninth annual Tom King Classic Golf Tournament last Monday, July 22, at the 1757 Golf Club in Chantilly. Early estimates show the event raised about $5,000. All proceeds from the tournament go to community and youth charity needs. The tournament honors Tom King, a member of the Lions Club and a community activist. Charlie Perkins has been a corporate sponsor of the event for all of its nine years and Beyer Automotive Group has sponsored it for eight. This year, Michael Beyer provided a 2013 Volvo as a hole-in-one prize for the tournament. Pictured with the Volvo are Bill Dunn and John Garrett as they try to win the prize.
