World Children’s Choir to Perform at F.C.-Episcopal

The World Children’s Choir will perform its 24th anniversary concert on Saturday, March 15, at The Falls Church Episcopal.

The event, to be held from 6 – 10 p.m., will also include a reception and silent auction.

The concert program includes vocal and string ensemble performances; Celtic music from Canada, Ireland, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Scotland, and the United States; and African Djembe drumming with audience participation.

Through singing, World Children’s Choir members explore musical content and use music, art, and special activities to mediate cross-cultural differences. The children learn how music and art expresses emotion, creates shared experiences, bridges differences, tells stories, produces beauty, and enriches others.

Concert tickets are $20 for general admission. Tickets are $15 for seniors and students 12 years and older, and $10 for children 3 – 11 years. The cost of a meal at the event is $15, with an additional $5 charge for wine.

The Falls Church Episcopal is located at 115 E. Fairfax St., Falls Church. For more information, call 703-883-0920, email info@worldchildrenschoir.org, or visit worldchildrenschoir.org.
